THE STORY BEHIND SURECARE

SureCare Insurance Services wasn't part of a carefully planned business strategy.

In fact, it began in a way I never expected.

If you had told me a few years ago that I would become a licensed insurance broker, I probably would have laughed—because that's not where my journey began.

Long before insurance, I taught myself web design. What started as a simple curiosity soon became a passion. One project led to another, and before long, I was building websites for local businesses and eventually for insurance agents.

One of those agents became more than a client—Joan and Domingo became like family. Over time, they encouraged me to become licensed myself.

At first, I wasn't interested. I genuinely loved designing websites and was excited to see where that business would take me.

But my husband saw something I didn't.

He simply smiled and said,

"Subukan mo lang. Malay mo."
(Just give it a try. You never know)

I laughed.

I told him I didn't know anything about insurance.

But he believed I could do it.

So I prayed.

I asked God that if this was truly the path He wanted me to take, He would open the right doors and guide me every step of the way.

Then I took the first step.

I studied.

I became licensed.

I earned my certifications.

I met my very first clients.

Those first conversations confirmed what my husband had seen all along.

Helping people didn't feel like work—it felt like purpose.

And somewhere along the way, something unexpected happened.

I fell in love with helping people.

Not because of insurance itself, but because of the conversations.

The relief people felt when someone finally explained Medicare in plain English.

The confidence they gained when they understood their options.

The friendships that continued long after enrollment day.

That's when I realized I wasn't simply helping people choose coverage.

I was helping them navigate one of life's biggest decisions with confidence and peace of mind.

Looking back, I realize this career found me long before I realized it was where I was meant to be.

Today, it is a privilege to help individuals, families, and employers understand their insurance options without feeling overwhelmed or pressured.

What I love most about this profession isn't simply helping people choose a plan.

It's seeing the relief on someone's face when Medicare finally starts to make sense.

It's answering the questions they were almost afraid to ask.

It's building relationships that continue long after enrollment day.

Whether we're meeting over coffee, talking on the phone, sitting around a kitchen table, or connecting through a community event, my goal is always the same:

To educate first, answer every question honestly, and help people make confident decisions that are right for their unique situation.

When I'm not working with clients, you'll often find me volunteering at our local food pantry, creating educational Medicare resources, improving our website, or simply enjoying a good cup of coffee while thinking of new ways to better serve our community.

Even today, one of the prayers I find myself saying often is:

"Lord, put me in front of the people who need Medicare or insurance guidance... and help me help them."

Because, at the end of the day, this has never been just about insurance.

It's about serving people.

Teaching myself web design taught me how to simplify complicated ideas.

Becoming an insurance broker gave me the opportunity to use that same passion to serve people in a different way.

The tools changed.
